1. Find time for movement

Regular exercise—aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate activity each week. This in turn will stimulate circulation, reduce inflammation, and strengthen your immune system. Whether it’s yoga, a brisk winter walk, or an indoor workout, staying active is essential for winter wellness.

2. Incorporate herbal remedies and supplements

Support your immune health with these time-tested remedies like echinacea, elderberry, garlic, and ginger. Supplements such as Vitamin C, Vitamin D, and zinc can provide an added boost, especially during cold and flu season. For a cozy twist, try a winter elixir— get inspo here!

3. Manage your stress levels

Chronic stress can take a toll on your whole body, especially your immune system. Combat it by finding moments of stillness throughout your day. Take 5 deep inhales, every few hours. This will help regulate your nervous system and remind you to slow down.

4. Prioritize rest and a consistent sleep schedule

Quality sleep is your body’s natural defence mechanism. Restful sleep each night can allow your immune cells to recharge and prepare to fight off seasonal germs.

5. Eat Less Processed Food and More Plants

Nourish your body with whole, nutrient-dense foods. Minimize processed foods, which can contribute to inflammation and weaken immunity, and instead focus on a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and seeds. These foods are packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that help your immune system stay strong and resilient throughout the winter.

6. Don’t forget to enjoy the cozy season

Winter is a time to slow down and enjoy cozy moments—sip on warm drinks, indulge in nourishing meals, and find joy in winter traditions. Taking care of your mental health is just as important for staying well.
