Hello my early risers and my soon to be early risers 😉 Welcome back to our latest post. In this week’s blog we’re diving into the topic of joining the the 5 am club. If you’ve never even considered waking up that early, and it sounds like an absurd thing to do, I encourage you to at least try to give this post a read. If you’ve dabbled in the 5 am club, you may find these points interesting. And if you’ve been on the train for years, thanks for being here! Comment down below, reasons why you enjoy waking up at 5am.
In today’s post, we’re breaking down the four big reasons why joining the 5 am club can make a huge difference in your life. There are many benefits to being an early riser. So let’s dive into them!
“The time you least feel like doing something is the best time to do it.” – ROBIN SHARMA.
Easy Ways to Wake Up Earlier:
- Make it a gradual shift. Set your alarm a bit earlier each week and slowly transition.
- Set a consistent routine for yourself.
- Place your alarm clock at a distance.
- Get to bed a bit earlier than you think you need to.
- Have an accountability buddy.

Let’s take a look at the reasons why waking up earlier will be a game changer in your life.
1. Allows For More Quiet Focus Time
When you wake up before the majority of the world, you have more time to yourself. Rising early means you get a few more moments in your day before you start to get bombarded with tasks, emails, texts and other outside noises. Early mornings are a peaceful time that truly make a difference in how my day unfolds. I personally choose to get started on work first thing in the morning, whereas Meg prioritizes movement. However your mornings look, prioritize something for yourself. How will 5am morning shift your daily routine? What is something you can focus on before your busy day begins?
2. Gives You Time For A Morning Movement Routine
Morning movement may or may not be your jam, perhaps you have a routine that works for you. I personally don’t have a set time that I workout everyday. I wish I did, but my schedule is a bit too unpredictable at this point in time. That being said, on the days I do prioritize movement right away, I always feel my best! Waking up early and getting a morning sweat in, can change how you feel throughout your day. You get your body moving, you kick start your endorphins and as a bonus, you get it done and have the whole day ahead of you, without having to worry about when you’re going to fit your routine in. We all know life is busy and once the rest of the world wakes up, it can be hard to get anything done for yourself. So prioritize that morning movement and see how you feel!

3. Helps Regulate Your Sleep Schedule
There have been so many recent studies looking at the difference that a consistent sleep schedule can make. Not only is it easier to wake up early, if your body is already in the routine, but the consistency can do wonders for your overall health. I’ve personally noticed a difference in my energy levels and immunity, since staying consistent with my early mornings.
Some of the benefits:
- lower stress levels
- better mood
- maintaining a healthy weight
- stronger immune system function
- reduced risk of accidents and injuries
- improved cognitive function
4. Gives You More Time for Personal Growth
We’ve already spoken to the point that waking up earlier can allow for more personal time at the start of the day. This point is a similar thought. Are you looking for more time for solitude and reflection? Perhaps you want to start journalling or taking some moments to read at the start of your day. Waking up earlier allows you to take more time for yourself, in order to prioritize personal growth. This could be a good time to begin that journaling journey, you’ve always wanted to do!
