30 Day Movement Challenge

Fall is upon us, cuties! If you’re feeling like us, it’s time to start packing up the summer vibes and falling back into a more disciplined and refreshed routine. Summer is incredible, it’s a time to let loose, enjoy the sun, spend time with friends and let yourself relax a bit. But that can’t last forever. At least we don’t want it to haha!

Speaking personally (Cornelia here), I LIVE for the summer. I am at an all time high from June – August. But by the time the kids go back to school and the weather starts to cool down, I am ready for my routine again. I will forever be a school kid, I love my reset in September. A fresh calendar, time spent setting new goals and back to my regular eating habits and movement routine. There comes a point where your body is just screaming to get back to normal.

And that’s where the 30 Day Movement Challenge comes in.

Since September is such a great time to gives ourselves a lil refresh, why not try a movement challenge? Full disclosure, we are not personal trainers. We are just two girls who love movement and have been working out for many years now. So we have a sense of what programs we like better than others. Our 30 Day Movement Challenge is a fun way to get movement into your routine, everyday for the month of September. Or any month you decide to participate! What better way to reset, than to move your body and begin to feel great again.

So whose in? We’ll be posting updates on socials as we move through the challenge. You can follow along on here, or download the Fall Reset Package on Etsy, to gain access to a whole bunch of goodies. We can’t wait to share this with all of you!

The Inspiration Behind Our 30 Day Movement Challenge:

Our goal in creating the 30 Day Movement Challenge was not to make a strict workout routine that was unattainable for a wide range of people. We all have busy lives and many people don’t have the time to get to a gym or a workout class multiple times a week. But we do know, that we all have 20-30 minutes in our day to move our bodies. Wake up a bit earlier, schedule time during lunch, include your family in the movement if that makes it more attainable. We all have time to fit in a bit of movement, and if you say otherwise, sorry I don’t believe you.😉 The busiest people in the world find time to move their bodies, in fact, it’s essential to building success in your life. Whatever success may mean to you, movement is a way to cultivate positivity in your life.

Week 1:

We kick-off at a nice pace, with a 20 minute pilates session with Bailey Brown. Incorporate some cardio into the week, strength sessions with Sami Clarke and a nice balance of walks. Week 1 is all about getting back into the routine of movement. We didn’t want to make the sessions too long, so just make sure you schedule these shorter workouts into your week. And if you want to add on more time and variety, feel free to do so!

Week 2:

By this point your body is probably starting to feel some of the effects of more movement in your routine. Perhaps you have a bit more energy, or you feel a bit stronger in your self. We tried to incorporate focusing on your full body, so a balance between arms, legs, abs and cardio.

Week 3:

By week 3 you’re probably noticing an improvement in your cardio and endurance in your strength. Amazing isn’t it? What has been your favourite style of workout so far? Exercise produces endorphins in our bodies, helps us achieve better sleep, reduces stress and is essential for longevity. But taking a bit of time everyday to move, we’re setting ourselves up to live a healthier and longer life.

Week 4:

You’re almost there! Only 7 days to go. By now you’re reaping all of the benefits. Movement has officially become a habit. Your routines likely feel set in place and your overall mood has probably shifted too. Do you think this will become something you’ll continue with as you move into a new month? Let us know in the comments!
