30 Day Glow Up Challenge: One Month to Your Best Self Yet

Welcome to our 30 Day Glow Up Challenge, Fall edition. Fall is the perfect time to do a little life reset, who else feels like the fall is really the start to a new year? We do! September may be one of our favourite months, and the start to quarter 4 is an incredible time to realign and refocus on how you want to spend the rest of your year. And even more importantly, setup your new year for success. Who says you need to wait until January to align your goals and get motivated?!

In fact, it’s so important to be consistently checking in with yourself and how you want your year to unfold, throughout the year. New years resolutions don’t just stop a few months in. Making time to check-in with yourself every month or every quarter, is the most consistent way to see changes in your life.

And that is where the fall glow up comes in. After the delightful sunny summer months, some of us may be feeling a bit off of our routine. Perhaps our eating has taken a turn and we’re not feeling our best. Possibly our movement routines have fallen to the side. It’s so easy to get caught up in social plans and enjoying our summers to the fullest, that we end August feeling a bit blah. I know I sure do! Summer is my favourite time of year, but after a few months of eating out more often, having drinks that I normally wouldn’t have through the winter and not being in my same consistent sleep schedule. It’s time for a life revamp and a plan to feel my best.

That’s where the Fall Glow Up Challenge comes in.


Let’s start with the basics. What are the key habits and routines to feeling your best? Feel fee to come up with your own plan and routine, or take some inspiration from ours! Do what feels best for your life. The 30 Day Glow Up Challenge is meant for you to take stock of your life and start to build a routine that elevates your life, however that looks for you. Daily Walks

Incorporating daily movement is vital at any time of year. But if you’re looking to feel a bit more glow-ey this fall, try adding a daily walk into your life. The mental health and physical benefits are unreal! If you’re feeling stumped for motivation or experiencing brain fog in your day, get outside! There are countless benefits to fresh air and moving your body. And if you don’t feel like going outside, look into getting a walking pad at your home or office, or hit the treadmill at the gym! A good step goal is between 7k-10k steps a day! You’re sure to notice a difference with these numbers.

Establish a Morning Routine

If you consistently read our blog, you hear us talk about routines a lot. We hope we don’t sound like a broken record! 😉 But truly, having a routine can make such a positive impact in your life. A morning routine especially, as that’s the way you’re going to set your day up for success or not. Both Meg and I have our own morning routines. Personally, I like to wake up between 5-5:30am everyday and get to my computer by 6am. I personally dive into emails and then either start working on my YouTube channel or this blog. I tend to prioritize movement a bit later in the morning.

Whereas Meg is more of a morning movement girly, she takes her dog for a walk and enjoys an active morning routine and reflection, before diving into work. You need to find what works best for you. On the days I fall back to sleep or get distracted on social media, my days are never as productive and I just don’t feel as good! Sometimes we need to be disciplined with ourselves to stay consistent with our morning routine. Trust us, it’s worth it!

Skin Care Routine

Here we go again with routines haha! But truly, create a skincare routine that works for you. How we maintain our skin is vital in terms of how we look and feel as we age. And you can turn your skin around in not much time at all, with solid products and consistency. Set Intentions for the Month & Goals for the Quarter

If you’re new to setting goals and intentions, check out our post on How to Set Your Year up for Success. You can really start this at any time of year, the goal is to get clear on what you want and working towards how you’re going to get there. Which the 30 Day Glow Up Challenge fits perfectly into! Decide where you want to glow up and make a plan. This not only pertains to our physical and mental health, but our beauty routines and our personal and career goals as well. Setting intentions and goals is the number one way to achieve what you’re looking to accomplish. Trust us, it really works. Create a Workout Routine

A solid workout routine can make a world of difference in our lives! Daily movement is one thing, going for walks or prioritizing time for gentle stretches, is amazing. But setting aside time to get to the gym, workout at home or attend a class, is so beneficial to our bodies and mind! Getting in a good sweat even 2 times a week, is vital to our health! And cant truly make you feel on top of the world. We always feel better when we’re moving our bodies.

Declutter Your Space

A spring and fall closet clean out and/or a deep clean of the house is an amazing feeling. Don’t you just feel so much better when your space is tidy? Decluttering and going through things you may not need anymore is such a great refresh. I personally take time twice a year to switch out my summer and winter clothes, and always make sure to try to get rid of a big bag. This just keeps my wardrobe up to date and allows me to part ways with the things I don’t need anymore. I also love to do this with my office space, get rid of the papers and items I no longer need. If you haven’t used it in the last year, you probably don’t need it!
