This Baked Apple Crisp is the BEST fall dessert! Fresh apples topped with an oat crumble is truly divine!

Ingredients
  

For the apples:

  • 6 medium apples, peeled, cored + sliced
  • juice from 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

For the crumble:

  • 2 cup oats
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  • Oil a baking dish and set aside for the time being.
  • Peel, core and slice the apples.
  • Combine the sliced apples with the rest of the apple ingredients: lemon juice, maple syrup, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir to combine.
  • Place the apple mixture into the baking dish.
  • Next prepare the oat crumble. Combine the oats, vanilla, brown sugar, salt and maple syrup into a bowl and stir.
  • Spread the oat crumble mixture on top of the apples in the baking dish.
  • Bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes or until oats are golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve warm as is or top with a vegan ice cream. Enjoy!
